Top Reasons IOS 5

Top Reasons to upgrade to IOS 5

I recently upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 5 and I totally love it!
My top reasons:

Audio button click  to take a photo – much easier to hold the pad steady now.

Notification Center – I have customized my notifications. I miss seeing text messages. Now I am notified twice. My text, missed phone calls, and email display on my lock screen for quick viewing!  I can scroll thru my email messages from my lock screen to see it anything important came in. Little banner alert appear at the top of my screen to let me know what I have missed.

“Reader” in Safari – look for it at the top of some websites. Tap on it to reduce the clutter for easier reading – especially on small iphone screens.  Tap on the arrow (2nd image) to open screen to add to Reading list for later.

Photostream in iCloud – My photos are uploaded everywhere! They appear on my ipad 2, iphone and desktop PC

The Store – I set the Store settings and now when I download from itunes to my PC, the app appears (wirelessly) in my iphone and ipad (if compatible for both). Got to Settings> Store

**Back up your iPad or iPhone before upgrading to IOS5 – You can not uninstall if you have problems but should be able to revert to prior saved back up.
I upgraded my iPad2 with no problems.

To upgrade – connect to computer with itunes and select upgrade

  1. Hi! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

Hi; Mundy not off topic for the site! I do use WordPress myself and have had sites hacked multiple times now!! Does get frustrating. But love using WordPress too much to give it up. Use the plug in “Secure WordPress”. Update WordPress just as soon as any new version is released. I used to wait as was afraid some of my plug ins would not work. Now more afraid of being hacked!Update all plug ins often!! Change your password – make it at least 8 characters long. They can still hack you though. I am going to be doing some other things to secure my sites better. Will post and/or do videos on whatever I do. So check back, follow me on Facebook or Twitter. I have had my username hacked and changed. They could not get into my site but neither could I! Figured out how to fix that one. (Will be doing a video on it.) Back up and check your site frequently!
